Mike & Flic
Watch this video to hear Mike and Flic talking at the start of their journey, before their move to Bath in 2012.
Our motto for life has always been ‘live life, and life to the full!’. We met just as Mike was about to join the pastoral staff at Trent Vineyard in Nottingham in 2004. We got married in June 2006 and since then we have been blessed with three gorgeous children, Theo, Tilly and Joshua.
I grew up in South-West London in Kingston upon Thames before moving to Nottingham for University, where I trained and worked for two years as a Physiotherapist. For 6 years until the summer of 2011 I worked on the pastoral staff at Trent Vineyard.
In May 2011 God began to uproot us and confirm a calling to church plant. From September 2011 until we moved to Bath this summer we were part of Leicester City Vineyard where I have been working alongside Steve Barber helping to administrate the Church Planting Taskforce for Vineyard Churches UK&I. I am passionate about seeing the Church, God’s bride, be all it can be for the glory of God, having an impact and changing our world. As well as this I am passionate about rugby, wine and my amazing family!
I was born in Bath and grew up in Wookey, a small village outside Wells. Bath and North Somerset feels very much like home. As well as being the mother of two very active and creative children, I am a qualified counsellor and am passionate about my profession and love studying and developing in this. At heart I’m a country girl, I love the outdoors as well as having a soft spot for the rugged coastline of North Cornwall.
As a couple we have never been ones to shy away from a challenge or miss an opportunity to serve and grow in our pursuit of Jesus and live the life He would have us live. We are so excited about this next chapter of our lives as we look to serve God in the City of Bath.
